Tom Steyer – Clean Energy Heavyweight

I spend at least a few minutes every day taking actions to connect myself with the world’s most visible proponents of renewable energy. Right now, I’m trying to contact Tom Steyer, by all odds, one of the most vigorous and effective supporters of environmentalism and clean energy.

Here’s a good example. While I was emailing my database urging people in California to get out and vote “No on Proposition 23,” (an initiative funded by two Texas oil companies that would have crippled the state’s efforts to protect the ecosystem and build green jobs), Tom was joining Former Secretary of State George Shultz to fund many millions of dollars into the political campaign. Check this out.

Now that’s someone whose hand I want to shake in thanks for a job well done.

I must confess i have never heard of you sir, just stumbled upon this information about you. Actually, i was sure that i had heard a story on NPR that said a study showed that giving billionaires more of a tax break does not translate into more jobs. This has been an ongoing disagreement i have had with one of my brothers for some time. Anyhow I was looking for that information about billionaires and i saw that of the US’s billionaires that you are interested in clean energy.
Let me back up a little here, Hello my name is Charles (charlie) carley, I am just an average guy that has liked to tinker with stuff pretty much all of my life. I was always so certain that i would invent something and become wealthy beyond my imagination. Well i never invented anything, however, i seem to be pretty good at improving things and making production workers jobs easier I have worked as a mechanic pretty much all of my life. started with my cars and moved into manufacturing maint. roughly 30 years ago.
I have an idea for an HVAC unit that if it works would use probably 1/5th of the energy to power it. I barely got started with this project when it became evident that this idea will probably require some people more knowledgable than myself in some areas if it is going to succeed. I had drawn out a flow schematic of the general design that i think will work. Contacted a component manufacturer and had a couple of parts made Contracted a machine shop to do a little maching. These things didn’t work as i had hoped. I am very confident that this will work. It is pretty much and entirely new concept which is why i don’t trust going to any major company. Some component selection and proper sizing would be necessary for this to have a fighting chance of ever materialising into a working system I am HVAC certified, however i never persued this field as a career. It is during my studies that i came up with this idea which of coarse incorperates HVAC and knowlege aquired over the years at other jobs.
I know this will work I justam not going to approach anyone about it, I am not a paranoid person but I’ll be damned if anybody is taking my one major contribution to the world.
Maybe I’m incorrect but i don’t see you as trying to beat somebody out of their one possibility for stature by giving the world something of this potential
