Here, I present a summary of a business plan that would implement a terrific design concept in electric bicycles. I met these folks when I was moderating a panel discussion at the Alt Car Expo in 2009, and I developed an instant attraction for both the people and their idea. In my estimation, the market for low-cost electric commuter transportation in urban environments is poised to go right through the roof in the coming decade or so, driven in large measure by the burgeoning middle-class populations in India and China.

The manufacturing cost is still high for implementation of this type of technology. Where are they planning to manufacture the electric schooters. the market for these is mostly in developing world and cost to be cutdown a lot in order to be commercially successful. I’m sorry, but I don’t have any data that will help you here. I find it hard to believe that anything like that would exist as an industry norm, given the variety of price-points, and designs that contemplate bills of materials who costs range so widely.
The moment I saw these vehicles I was startled. I was just thinking about something exactly like this the other day. The key is to get out of the weather. And I was very happy to see that aspect. I would add that there also may be a market for this design on a pure electric mode.
The other key is passing on the right. Because these vehicles are so narrow, you could pass on the right like a bicycle does and you would find that in city traffic they would probably be faster than the car.
People think the Flintstones here in America when they see anything that looks this comfortable but has pedals. LOL! If the riding experience was similar to the exertion of a brisk walk how could you go wrong? Any room for small investors, say in the 10 to 20K range?
