Steve Jobs: The Secret of Life
Here’s a two-minute interview with Steve Jobs in which he tells you that you can be a greater person and live a more dynamic life than the world around you would have you believe. That’s profoundly beautiful, and completely true.
This is outstanding. We must constantly remind ourselves to not let others define our potential. Others include our colleagues, bosses, family, etc. When I look at all of the incredibly talented technical people I have known throughout my career and how little these people actually accomplished, it makes Job’s comments really hit home. In an era where innovation is the driver of the future, out nation cannot afford for the talents of engineers to continue to be underutilized.
“Oh Sweet Mysteries Of Life.” Our society provides a well established framework and staying within it is comforting and stress free. To break out of the framework (Out of the Box) is very stressful and most won’t do that, Steve Jobs took the huge steps we are all afraid of. He Jumped out of the box. And fortunately he jumped the right direction. I am trying to break out but I find Investors are NOT.
