PlexiSun — Breakthrough in Solar Thermal Hot Water Heating
As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been working hard to promote my new client PlexiSun, based in New Zealand, whose products I regard as a breakthrough in solar thermal hot water heating. Without my help, they’ve taken care of business relationships that will make this product available in Europe and Asia, but they hired me to find them a few good, solid business partners to service the Americas. I’m proud to say that I turned in a half-decent performance today: three expressions of interest, including one request for an on-site presentation.
In response to my previous posts on the subject, a reader asked if I have this installed on my house. The answer is no, for a few reasons:
• It wouldn’t work well on this property at all, as there’s too much shade.
• It’s really not for individual home-owners, unless they have pools. Our first three houses had pools, which were terrific for us when we had young children in a perfect spot for that form of outdoor recreation: Southern California. But there will be no more pools in our lives (until we find ourselves in a rest-home); our kids are grown, and a pool would be an unnecessary cost item at this point.
• It’s largely for new construction. If you’re building a new barn, condo complex, etc., I strongly recommend this, but no one with any sense would buy this stuff and put it on his roof.
I’m so pleased with all the inquiries I’ve had on this subject to this point; please keep them coming in.
What happened with Plexisun? Do you have more information or details? Can I offer it to my customers?
Please see my email on the subject.
