Tons of Key Environmental Issues At Stake on Tuesday
Here’s a note, albeit an obvious one, to U.S. voters about the mid-term elections on Tuesday. Get out there and vote! As the Sierra Club quite correctly informs us:
Some candidates are already busy making plans that threaten our lands, our wildlife, and our clean energy future. This is what’s at stake on Election Day:
- Mitch McConnell has vowed to make passing the Keystone XL pipeline a priority if he becomes the new Senate leader.
- Limits and funding cuts to the EPA and plans to block implementation of the Clean Power Plan.
- More gas and oil exploration on federal lands.
- Climate deniers leading congressional committees responsible for science and the environment.
Btw, isn’t the news that 90 pounds of cocaine was found on McConnell’s father-in-law’s boat at least somewhat damaging?
