Congress Can’t Wait to Approve Keystone XL

Everyone with lungs should be in support of the Sierra Club and what they’ve done with their campaign called “Beyond Coal,” which has brought the awareness of the issue to tens of millions of Americans who otherwise would have been clueless on the subject.

And, as one would expect, the Sierra Club is not too sanguine on the U.S. Congress and its approach to the Keystone XL Pipeline either. In an email I got this morning, they write:

On their first day in session, the new Congress introduced a bill to approve Keystone XL.

It’s so telling. The first thing they did… their number one priority… giving Big Oil what it wants.

And it’s not just Keystone XL. They want to fast-track drilling in the Arctic, green light fracking near wildlife refuges, and gut clean air standards.

Never before has Big Oil been able to count on such loyal support for its agenda in the House and the Senate.

Unfortunately, they’re 100% correct.   I happen to be a Sierra Club member, whose (modest) contributions help remove the blatant corruption from U.S. energy policy.  Click here if you’d like to join me.
