The Energy End-Game: Huge Money Flowing Into Renewables

The Energy End-Game: Huge Money Flowing Into RenewablesA reader notes (and I paraphrase): The oil companies are the strongest force on the planet, and they are the problem with respect to a path toward a sustainable approach to energy.  I don’t think we can expect oil companies to simply walk into the renewable sunset.

No, we most certainly cannot expect that; it would be foolish to think that they are simply going to fold their tent and relinquish their death-grip on the energy industry.  And if you think that morality plays even the tiniest role here, remember that we still have tobacco companies flourishing all over the world.

Unlike cigarettes, however, there is an alternative here that is just as satisfying, and the world is flocking to it at an incredible pace.  Renewable energy is in the process of becoming so inexpensive that it’s on the receiving end of almost every dollar going into new energy resources/projects.  Note: “Credit Suisse Projects ~85% Of US Energy Demand Growth Coming From Renewables Through 2025.”

A somewhat lesser authority (me) also believes that this is where the action is; that, of course, is the premise of my most recent book (Bullish on Renewable Energy).
