A reader from Maryland asked me to post this infographic, illustrating his state’s leadership over neighboring Virginia. I didn’t know there was a competition going on; one learns something new every day. Hooray for whoever wins.
Both states have very ambitious RES goals (which will likely not be met), but in the first 3 months of 2015, MD only derived ~7.2% of its electricity from renewables, while VA derived ~5.6%.
Neither of them are anywhere close to 15%.
If they are competing, someone forgot to notify the majority of either state.
OK – the home of Inohofe – derived 19.1% of its generated electricity over the first three months of 2015 from renewable resources.
Number 6 is completely false as stated.
