Proponents of Nuclear Science Shouldn’t Object to Objectivity
There are many interesting but sad elements to my involvement with the pro-nuclear online community of which I’m a part. For example, last night one guy asked the 95-member group in an effort to discredit the arguments of anti-nuke renewable energy proponent Joe Romm, “What are the most egregious errors he’s making?”
I wrote, “Holy smoke. I’d like to pretend I didn’t see this. On top of his PhD in physics from MIT, he’s probably the single most decorated climate scientist on the planet. Mightn’t it be a reasonable idea to come up to speed on his position and determine if there’s any truth to it before deciding that it’s wrong simply because it presents a viewpoint that differs from your own?”
Silence.
