As I reflect upon the wise people I have known it seems as if it is a measure of humility not doubt that makes them most remarkable. The hero might act despite fears. Perhaps someone is no less heroic when they find a path to action irrespective of reservations. It does however give me pause when I consider the times in my life when uncertainty has lead to a paralysis of action. It is those times that faith, faith in something, can be a catalysis for action.
For some that faith can be religious. Perhaps for others it is a faith that the unknown is not simply unknowable.
