Got a CleanTech Business Concept?  Send It Along

Got a CleanTech Business Concept?  Send It AlongIt’s about time for me to re-offer a free service that I’ve been delivering happily for the last seven years: business plan evaluation.

Suppose you have an idea for a cleantech business—anything in renewable energy, electric transportation, smart-grid, energy storage, sustainable agriculture, or some other related field.  Then suppose you want my opinion of the merits of your concept.

Just send me whatever you have—anything from a one-sentence description to an 80-page business plan.  I’ll use my background in physics and marketing (strange but true) and my understanding of the most important cleantech industry trend to formulate my response, which, again, I’ll provide absolutely free of charge.

As a side benefit, readers here know that I select the very best ideas I come across and aggressively try to help move them along by helping them find sources of investment capital and by telling the world about their products or services.

For newcomers, here’s a brief summary of my approach.

Simply fire away via email.  Try to surprise me (though that’s going to be tough, given the volume of ideas I’ve reviewed over the years).

In any case, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Well done Craig,

Please accept my most sincere admiration for sharing your valuable time and experience to encourage innovators.

For those with viable CleanTech business concepts, this is the chance of a lifetime to advance a project to commercialization with the aid of a truly inspirational mentor.

Even for those with less viable projects, at least by utilizing Craig’s offer you will receive evaluation from an expert of unquestionable integrity and perspicacity.

There should be more selfless business consultants willing to devote the time to provide practical assistance for cleantech innovators.

Well done Craig, keep up the good work.

Two points. 1) I absolutely agree with your statement, “There should be more selfless business consultants willing to devote the time to provide practical assistance for cleantech innovators.”, and

2)I hope you’re inundated with ideas (good, bad and indifferent)

(I should also congratulate “marcopolo” on his use of “perspicacity” in an open forum. One does not come across it often…).

    Hi Craig, I just came across this idea in it’s roughest form at the NW Energy Coalition meeting in Missoula Mont a couple of weeks ago;
Use of an IR camera on a drone to determine the insulation quality of homes.
I know that drones are used by realtors and an Energy Efficient Mortgage can allow a purchaser to buy more home based on a lower utility bill.
Two of us were visiting afterwards and one thing led to another, the idea was hatched.
