Rating Obama’s Presidency

Rating Obama's PresidencyOf course, we at 2GreenEnergy view Obama’s tenure as president through the lens of environmental issues, something on which he gets very high grades. Linked above is a post in which I present 60 important accomplishments in this space, each with citations, reprinted from the website PleaseCutTheCrap.com.

This article makes an excellent, more general, point as well. Extremely worthwhile reading.

  1. Frank Eggers says:

In some respects I am disappointed. One example is his failure to close Guantanamo. However, we lack complete information and it may be that he wasn’t able to close it. The power of presidents is limited.

  2. Brian McGowan says:

Obama cannot close Guantanamo by himself. Congress must do it and he has been on their case the entire time. We all know who is in charge of congress and how they feel about anything Obama wants. Not to mention the fact that they are terrified of having unarmed terrorists with no means whatsoever to do any harm, on American soil in super max prisons behind many layers of steel, cement and barbed wire not to mention armed guards. It is clear terrorism works because these people are clearly absolutely terrorized for no good reason at all. And, ironically, these prisons are out in the middle of some of the most gun dense country we posses. You would think all of those patriotic gun toting people would be looking for any chance to “bust a cap in a terrorist’s ass” and instead, as armed to the teeth as they are, they are completely terrified of the idea. It boggles my mind.
