“Kindness Is My Religion” — Dalai Lama
The other day I was walking to a meeting in downtown Los Angeles and I came across this sign in front of a shop. In my book, kindness needs to be re-enforced at every opportunity, so I ducked in, found the shop owner, and congratulated him for being a terrific person.
You would have done the same.
When Jesus was asked which is the most important law, He recited two, the second being, “Love thy neighbor as thyself”. Then, He gave the parable of the Good Samaritan to define love and greatly expand the definition of “neighbor”. That is basically the same thing as admonitions to be kind. Surely the world would be a better place if everyone acted accordingly.
