Yes, that’s fantastic; it’s precisely what I’ve been so anxious to see happen in the developing world. It’s a huge, multifaceted win:

More productivity means less poverty.

Greater availability of energy means better education and ultimately smaller, stronger families = more manageable population growth, and better healthcare as well.

The success of renewable energy suggests that these entire regions of the world may be able to leapfrog over fossil fuels with respect to meeting their growing energy needs.
