It’s Never Too Late
It’s the birthday of Leóš Janácek, Central European composer of the late 19th/early 20th Century.
If you’d like to YouTube some of his pieces, be prepared: they’re pretty inaccessible by most people’s standards today, including my own. In fact, the only thing I like about Janácek is that he’s a reminder that it’s never too late in life to start something new; he started to establish his professional reputation at age 62 (my age as of today). In a world dominated by young people, that’s pretty cool.
