Check Out NASA’s Graph of Global Temperature….While You Can

Here’s a graph of average global temperatures from NASA (U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration).  We’ve all seen this before; what could possibly be newsworthy about it?

It’s that NASA won’t be in the climate/atmospheric research business much longer, so graphics like this may soon be relics of the past.  Trump’s candidate to head up NASA is Jim Bridenstine, a climate denier, who proposes that NASA amend its institutional objectives, to eliminate current objectives for the “expansion of human knowledge of the Earth and of phenomena in the atmosphere and space.” 

I guess the message is: Enjoy the truth while you can.  Like playing ice hockey on frozen ponds in what used to be winter (oldsters: do you remember that?), it won’t be around forever.
