Trump Supporters Are Taking It in the Teeth
It’s no secret that Trump’s rank and file supporters, i.e., working class Americans, are the ones most damaged by his policies. What was a secret, until now, is that someone was clever enough to create the meme here. Great job.
From the Washington Post: For the biggest group of American workers, wages aren’t just flat. They’re falling. That might sound like a problem for these voters, as would cuts to Medicare and Social Security to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
But no, Trump’s approval rating hovers fairly steadily in the low 40s. His support base is willing to suffer a great deal of pain, as long as blacks, LGBTQs, Muslims, people of peace, Latinos, women, environmentalists, endangered species, Native Americans, liberals, ripped off consumers, America’s trade partners, America’s (erstwhile?) allies, public school students, as well as the sick and the poor suffer more.
I’m not sure this is a wonderful deal, but it’s what they’re getting, and they seem to be staying on board with it.

Could just be working class American’s appreciate the rises in employment, optimism and opportunities created by the President and don’t appreciate being subjected to a torrent of abuse, condescension, and sneering by the Washington Post which is owned by America’s richest Billionaire !
The President’s ratings remain remarkably high, especially given the relentless attacks, and attempts to talk down an economy which is the best for over thirty years!
Or it could be that the 40% that approve him are blinded by the fact that he’s racist just like them. Seeing you defend him makes me sick.
