Educating Girls

12girls600.1Two out of every three uneducated children in the world are girls, and it’s this sad fact that lies at the root of so many of our civilization’s woes.

As shown in this cool video, educated women are less likely to fall into poverty; perhaps that much is obvious.  But educated women have far fewer children that their counterparts;  in general, they have stronger and much smaller families.

This, of course, ties back to renewable energy: there is no higher energy-related priority on this planet than electrifying the third world, bringing light by which to read as well as Internet access to those most in need.  The result: a smaller, healthier, wealthier and more productive world population.

  1. This is a great goal! If we can educate more people, there will be more people that understand what is going on in our world. For example, global warming. Lots of people don’t know that t exists, or were told that it’s a lie. Misinformation is a major concern because if we want to make a change, we all need to realize that it’s a problem.
