Climate Change in the Mainstream News
There has been very little recognition of the fact that October was the 406th consecutive month that temperatures were above the 20th-century average. On the other hand, I’m pleased to say that there’s been a ton of ink associated with the controversially timed release of the US Global Change Research Program, put forth by a team consisting of 13 federal agencies. It has published the Fourth National Climate Assessment, which concluded that “The global average temperature is much higher and is rising more rapidly than anything modern civilization has experienced, and this warming trend can only be explained by human activities.”
It’s interesting that the president of the United States rejects these facts, as he does the conclusions of his intelligence community. We’re living in a surreal world.
