LEED-certified architect and old school chum Bruce Wilson writes:  Hi Craig.  I get a daily email from DailyGood.org. Today’s email has a short video intro to the movie “Home” by world renowned photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
There is a link to see the whole movie too.  I think it would be worth posting on the 2GreenEnergy blog.  Take care and Happy New Year.  – Bruce

Wow, that’s fabulous.  It’s always great when art of some kind adds impact to a message, and this is just gorgeous.  I also like this: “Make every day Earth Day! For each day this month, choose one of these 50 small planet-saving actions and perform it with gratitude for our home planet.”

Thanks very much.  Happy New Year back at you.

    Craig,

I’m never sure about the value of such programs. On the one hand they do heighten environmental concern and inspire more aesthetic aspirations, and yet the also can be of little value by spreading false or misleading concepts of little practical value and contain hidden political/ideological agenda.

I afraid, like most people, I find idiotic lists such as your “50 small planet-saving actions” irritating and twee.

Annoyingly preachy little articles like this are typical of the sort of “Reader’s Digest” view of the world, appealing to the sort of people less interested in environmental science, and more interested in the mantra’s of a new sort of religion.
