A Humanistic Look at Jesus Christ
Though I try to stay away from religious issues, I thought I’d publish the thoughts offered by one Kristin Higgins at the left, because they are so well expressed, and, in my mind, so spot-on. It seems that Christianity has become two different and generally opposing groups:
A) Those who follow the teachings of Christ and try to emulate His character in their day-to-day lives, with respect to love, charity, kindness, generosity, helping the less fortunate, healing the sick, and an affinity for peace
….and
B) Those who don’t, and associate their religion more with America first, gun rights, military might, homophobia, revulsion of immigrants, and so on, again, things that directly fly in the teeth of the lessons Christ left with us.
How exactly this is possible is hard to understand, but we live in times that challenge the intellect, to put it mildly.
