Getting It Done with a Smile
In writing at least 99% of my posts here, selecting the photo is the last step before hitting “publish.” I don’t spend a huge amount of time in this process, but I normally try to amplify or further explain the point I’m making. Sometimes I’m just trying to be funny.
This post, however, started with the photo at left; somehow its pure joy called out to me.
There is hope.
The human spirit is indominable.

Life is good, and these three children are here to prove it.
Craig,
Like you, I also found the photo charming and a celebration of youthful innocence and optimism.
When shown to some of my younger colleagues, some found the photo disturbing and “creepy” .
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and unfortunately in today’s current atmosphere of “outrage”, even the most innocent of images can adopt a sinister hue, especially when filtered through the prism of politically correct, self appointed puritan watchdogs.
