If you’re going to live off the grid, you might as well do it right.  Here’s a guy who’s done precisely that.  His mantra: if you need something, you can either buy it from a corporation, or simply get it from nature; I prefer the latter.

   Craig,

   Very interesting, and “going off the grid is all very well, although it could prove a little difficult finding a buyer for such a property.

   Another aspect to be considered is how to dispose of all those solar panels when they need replacing. Solar Panels are very toxic to recycle and are becoming a real disposal problem.(Unless you’re like California, and just dump ’em elsewhere).
