Solution To Mass Shootings: More Guns
I don’t want to be in the same grocery store as this gentleman, who saw fit to bring three handguns to go shopping. (Actually, I don’t really want to be in the same state.)
I know there are some people who think this country is on the right track, with its ultra-violence, its overt racism and its wanton cruelty to immigrants. If there weren’t, there would be no market for MAGA hats. But Sweet Jesus, it’s so hard for the rest of us to watch.
Craig,
It’s difficult to be part of a solution, when you are part of the problem!
Your obsessive tirades against those whom you oppose on real or imagined grounds, seethe with hate and injustice.
Equally, your exaggerations, distortions and,…’inaccuracies’ create an unnecessary atmosphere of high drama and conflict.
Why ?
In fact the USA is a very welcoming, supportive and generous nation to migrants from all backgrounds.
Migrants, that is legal migrants. Migrants not criminals. Migrants who apply in a legal and orderly fashion, respecting the laws, institutions and people of the USA.
The US also accepts and re-settles, a generous percentage of genuine refugees. The USA is not “Wantonly Cruel” to any legal migrant and refugees.
(actually, the US isn’t even “wantonly” cruel to illegal migrant and asylum calimants , whom it treats far better than most nations).
Nor is the USA “overtly racist”. You promote “racism” each time you scream “racist” in false outrage at your political opponents, simply to win.
Everywhere in the USA you can find evidence of successful individuals from every race and background. The election of Barack Obama to the Presidency is proof of the progress of how far race relations in the US have improved in a remarkably short period of transformation.
But race shouldn’t be used as an excuse for failure, criminal behavior, incompetence or lack of achievement. The actions or circumstances of distant ancestors (or even immediate) shouldn’t perpetuate ‘victim-hood’.
Yeah, the guy in your photo my be a little over the top, or maybe he just has a dangerous occupation, but your continual abuse and hatred for those who might own a MEGA hat, isn’t helping. You are only adding to the sense of fear, anger, hostility and divisiveness.
Like the rest of the mainstream media, you have slowly allowed your hatred to poison first your objectively. then any semblance honesty.
You no longer listen and try to understand what those who disagree with your viewpoint are trying to express, because you are too busy nitpicking every slight malapropism, awkward phrase, grammatical error, ambiguous term as an opportunity to viciously distort, take out of context, or use as ammunition for your next rant.
An example of this sort of behavior can be found in the reports by CNN,NYT and the usual gang of “Never Trumper’s” accusing the President with the headline, ” President Trump labels Meagan Markle as “Nasty” ” !
What the President did say was very different. The President was responding to a question in which the reporter informed him of a statement made in 2016 by the then, Ms Markle, saying ” if Trump is elected President I’ll move to Canada”.
His reply to the reporter was, ” Really ? Oh,… I had no idea she was so nasty”.
Now the words may be the same, but the context alters the meaning completely. However, like you, when repeating the story, the folks at MSNBC had no interest in accuracy, instead sought to flame the story to arouse a maximum outpouring of false outrage and sensationalism during the President’s visit to the UK.
CNN, MSNBC, and NYT have an obvious motive to spread hatred and outrage against the President. Before the candidacy of Donald Trump all these media outlets were failing and nearly bankrupt.
The advent of the Trump Presidency has been a lifeline of solvency for these organizations.
But what’s your excuse? Are you so invested in your own “vision”, you can no longer see you are creating the very world you say you hate?
You don’t know the gentleman in the photo, you know noting of his life, profession or circumstances, yet you are quite eager to hold him up as morally “deplorable”!
You didn’t ask his permission to become your poster illustration for a public opprobrium, nor did you consider his family and friends when you chose him as a target for your venom.
If he is part of the “problem”,then how are you so different?
