The Lighter Side of Climate Change
As the Arctic melts and huge glaciers break free there are bound to be a few wild moments.
Imagine you live in this town, only to notice that a 300-foot hunk of ice is making its way past you, a couple of yards from your front yard.
I’m going to guess it weighs: 300*40*40 = 480,000 cubic feet * 10 cubic feet below the surface for every 1 above * 64 pounds per cubic foot * .0005 pounds per ton = 153,600 tons.
It’s not moving fast, but it’s not something you want to come in contact with. No playing fetch-the-stick with Prince for a bit here.
