Nestle: We May Suck as a Corporate Citizen, But We Draw the Line

TuckerCarlsonNestle doesn’t have wonderful publicity right now.  Some time ago, the company took backlash when its board chairman said the notion that water was a basic human right was “extreme,” and thus water should be treated like any other commodity: gold, corn, orange juice, etc.  Currently, it remains under fire for its basic business processes that are draining the world’s aquifers, in many cases illegally.

Keep that in mind when you evaluate Nestle’s decision to pull its advertising from Fox News Tucker Carlson’s show, after the host’s assertions that white supremacy is a “hoax” and said “it is actually not a real problem in America.”  Seems tantamount to: We admit that we’re terrible, but Sweet Jesus, this behavior is even out of our league.

    Craig,

“White supremacy” can’t really be described as a hoax exactly, but it has been wildly over exaggerated and is in danger of becoming an invented bogyman of the leftist media.

White supremacists constitute a tiny minority of basically influential and disorganized fringe dwellers. The amount of media attention they attract is ludicrous, if simply ignored they would in all likelihood just disappear.

Those sad little group of tattooed Neanderthals claiming to be adherents of National Socialism are ludicrous. The Nazi’s were a uniquely German movement born from the defeat and frustration of defeat in WWI, the humiliation of the Versailles Treaty and the unique personality of Adolf Hitler. The whole point of the NAZI creed was exclusively Germanic

It can’t be recreated anywhere or at any time again. Just dressing up and painting a few swastikas is play acting, a silly fantasy, not a real political movement.

The danger of exaggerating the importance of these fringe dwellers by media addicted to fantastic sensationalism, is when added to the enormous impact of social media, these groups are likely to attract mentally unbalanced, deranged adherents who are a danger to themselves and society. The danger of copy-cat acts of violence is very real.

In reality, the US Congress is amazingly multi racial with 27% non white legislators. That figure represents the ethic mix of the US. However, in voting terms since a much lower proportion of non-white American.

President Obama was twice elected by a popular vote which means a huge majority of White voters elected a black President.

These facts defy the claim the US is a racist country! Sometimes it seems ‘race’ is only ever an issue when it can be used to malign a political enemy as being ‘racist’ or rant on about how much the speaker is trying to prove everyone else is racist except themselves.

” White Supremacists” are a tiny, loud fringe group of extremists. They’re a convenient bogyman for the left to exaggerate about as a distraction, but of no other importance.

Please, please Craig, don’t provide the oxygen of attention and publicity these fools need to grow.
