While “Ukrainegate” Is Happening, Don’t Lose Sight of Environmental Onslaught

This article, “U.S. states sue Trump administration over weakened endangered species protections,” made me realize that, while the news cycle may be focused on removing Trump from office, the other problems plaguing us haven’t been frozen in time.California is still under pressure from the federal government to cave on car mileage standards, the EPA is still enabling the use of more toxins, America’s wetlands are being threatened with pollution, and yes, endangered species are losing their protections.

Good to see that no fewer that 17 of the U.S. states are suing the Trump administration over its efforts to weaken protections for endangered species. We mustn’t be distracted by the latest mess that Trump has found himself in, tempting as that may be.
