Environmental Challenges

At age 77, American environmental lawyer Gus Speth has become quite the quotable guy.

I happen to love what he said here about the top environmental problems we face.

The technology to deal with the catastrophe we face is within our grasp, but sadly, the political will to deploy that technology is not.  As Speth says, we need a spiritual and cultural revolution, one that begins with placing value on the well-being of strangers, some whose ways of life are very different than our own.  How likely that is I cannot say.
