Who won the award for “Worst Year in Energy” for 2019? Was it Rick Perry, who resigned as Energy Secretary when his connection to the Ukraine scandal became evident? Could be. But don’t count out the owner of the largest private coal enterprise in the Unites States and close friend of the president, Bob Murray. Because of Murray’s criminality and his failed libel lawsuit against HBO, John Oliver barbecued Murray, as shown below.
