Wind Energy Coming On Strong

My friend Bill Moore, of EVWorld.com fame, likes to let the world know how well his home state of Nebraska is doing  in terms of phasing out fossil fuels in favor of wind.  Here we see this morning’s report, represented as a pie-chart, that has wind (orange) at about 53%.

Of course, not every place on Earth has wind resources like the Plains States here in the U.S. Yet it’s good to know that real progress is being made in the integration of renewable energy.

    Craig,

I’m not sure who you are attempting to fool with this sort of silly nonsense.

According to the US EIA and the Nebraska State Energy Commission, in 2019 Nebraska obtained 63% of its net electricity generation from coal, 15% from nuclear power, and 14% from wind, solar and other renewable sources !

Of course it’s possible Wind power generation may have quadrupled over the first few days of January 2020, but it seems more likely your chart is inaccurate.

I have no idea why you choose to continually advocate such absurdly optimistic information. An explanation could lie in the fact that you no longer bother to verify information.

EV World has always been an interesting, but wildly inaccurate advocacy journal, most unreliable to cite as a source whithout carefully verification.
