It’s a Crisis!

We live in a time of environmental collapse, in a world at the brink of nuclear war, where 1.5 billion of us can’t get a glass of clean water to drink, and the U.S. Constitution is being ripped into shreds.

I don’t want to be insensitive to the ups and downs in British royalty, but I would suggest they not use the word “crisis” to describe them.

    Craig,

You are quite correct, there is no “crisis” among the Royal family of the UK and Commonwealth of Nations.

For some years the aging Queen has been trying to slim down the focus on to Royal family concentrate solely on the serious Constitutional role and lessen the media’s obsession with “celebrity” status.

The focus is being reserved for Queen’s three heirs, who eventually win be entrusted with the immense and exceedingly onerous duties of Constitutional Monarchy when their time arrives.

If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wish to spend more time in Canada, the US or elsewhere, that’s there business. (as long as the taxpayer isn’t required to fund their lifestyle).

There is no crisis except that manufactured by an overly excitable media.

Likewise, there is no “crisis” of a world “on the brink of nuclear war”, or “the U.S. Constitution is being ripped into shreds “, and no sign of “environmental collapse”!

All these dramatic “Crisis” exist only in your imagination!

Returning to London after the election I was astonished to find how many among the financial community had become fervent Brexit supporters, even those whom I remember as alarmist “remain” supporters, but who seem to have re-invented themselves as always supporting Brexit!

That imagined “crisis”, also seems to have disappeared.
