“Truth Was Unimportant”
Truth and reason are coming up on the losing end in present-day U.S. politics, and perhaps the meme here indicates the reason. Yes, those who try to draw comparisons between the Third Reich 75 years ago and today’s United States are usually derided, but it sure is interesting that we have a president who tells 14 – 15 baldfaced lies per day and still stands as the most powerful person on Earth. There was a day not too long ago in which that simply would not have worked.
Controlling a population with propaganda is an artform, one our civilization presumed had hit its high-water mark in those ugly days. Let’s hope that our current government by lies (prevaritocracy?) is a passing phase, one that will soon be swept away.

The US President is president of the most powerful nation, but hi personal power is extremely limited.
Nor does the President tell 14 – 15 baldfaced lies per day, you just make this stuff up. (You tell some pretty baldfaced porkies yourself).

Speaking of lies and lairs, I notice you failed to mention that CNN has joined the guardian in apologizing paying tens of millions of dollars rather than face a jury.
These media organizations settled rather than defend the conduct concerning a series of outright lies and misinformation while covering an incident involving a Covington Catholic High Schoo boy, (Nick Sandmann) and his school classmates on a school trip from Kentuckyto Washington, D.C .
The hysterical and vicious media feeding frenzy is starting to have its day in court as CNN is the first to pay and apologize rather than face a jury award.
That leaves a slew of other media, including journalists such as Maggie Haberman, Ana Navarro, and Shaun King, still trying to reach settlement, “personalities” such as Rachael Madow etc and Media outlets like NYT MSNBC’s parent company, the AP, Gannett, HuffPo, Slate, and The Washington Post, Vox and 26 others desperately performing a series of legal maneuvers to escape facing trail.
As part of the settlement the defendants admitted suit, they “brought down the full force of corporate power, influence, and wealth on Nicholas by falsely attacking, vilifying, and bullying him despite the fact that he was a minor child.”
Strange how you remain silent about such abuse of power? Why is that?
Remember how Trump was going to start global economic war with China, withdraw from NATO, detroy the US economy, start a civil war, widen war in Syria by bombing Russian bases, start World War III with North Korea, sell out the U.S. to get peace with North Korea, start World War III because he is Hitler, start a war over Venezuela, start a genocide of Kurds with Turkey etc, etc
Now, none of these things ever occurred did they? But you never acknowledge when you are wrong anymore do you?
Could it be Trump is your excuse to behave badly and never have to admit your errors ?
