America’s New Monarchy Is on Our Doorstep

The impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate is arguably the single most important event in this country’s history, as it’s a watershed moment that could push us over a cliff into lawlessness.  If Trump isn’t held accountable, we will have become a monarchy, just as our founders most greatly feared, in which those at the top can do anything they wish to further their personal agendas with complete impunity.

Unfortunately, as suggested on the left here, it’s occurring in a time where facts have long ceased to matter.

If I said that Davy Crockett’s face is on the five dollar bill or that Joan Baez is the Speaker of the House, I’m fairly sure that would damage my credibility if I were to run for any elected office.  How have we morphed into the world where the President of the United States can fabricate whatever stories he wants, and his supporters think this is just great?

We all need to try to remain positive and hope this turns out OK, while swearing to remove any senator who thinks so little of the justice system and the American people that he will run away from his sworn duty to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
