Hey, U.S., the World Is Watching
This piece on Canada’s viewpoint on the U.S. ends with, “The world is watching.” I’d like to believe that. At this point it’s probably more correct to say that the world was watching, but has long since given up, out of the sheer tedium of Trump’s repetitive antics.
For a while I’m sure it was interesting, nay, utterly fascinating. What lies will he tell today? What previously banned poison will he reintroduce into his country’s skies or waterways? What capricious and self-destructive financial policy will he implement, and which element of the U.S. economy will it screw? How will he rip off his country for his own enrichment or self-aggrandizement? Which dictator will he coddle? Which ally will he insult? What disgusting acts of wanton cruelty will he mete out on the poor, the children, the sick, the elderly, Muslims, gays, blacks? How will he encourage violence and hate? What childish epithet will he hurl against a political opponent? How will he punish someone who dares to criticize him? What crime will Republicans cover up for him?
I’m sure this used to be an absolute gas, but I can only surmise that now it’s a total snore.
Craig,
“This piece on Canada’s viewpoint on the U.S”
Last time I looked, the Dominion of Canada was a nation of some 37,797,496 citizens.
Since when do the rantings of one anonymous person constitute the views of all Canadians?
Likewise, “the rest of the World” isn’t as obsessed as you with an all consuming hatred of the current US President!
It’s a sad fact that the Left in general, and certainly the US Left assume that the only opinions of any importance is those shared among “true believers”.
