Trump “Mystifies” Reporters with Total Ignorance of Coronavirus. Really?

Frankly, I doubt very much that reporters were “mystified.”  These people follow Trump around and are familiar with all aspects of his extremely consistent demeanor:

From all accounts, he hates learning.  He doesn’t read, and dislikes being briefed, even on critically important subjects.

Since Trump lies constantly, fabricating data at every turn, he doesn’t see the point in even knowing the truth.

His supporters are fine with this.  The fact that he happily goes on the air and demonstrates complete ignorance of a life or death subject does not put them off in the least.

Trump knows that behaving like a buffoon on live TV is going to rankle his critics, and he seems to enjoy that.
