Trump and American Public Health

Ouch. I was with the author 100% up until that last sentence. There is not a single precedent for Trump backing off of anything, whether it’s Obama tapping his phone, the size of the inauguration, our need to rake our forests, wind turbines causing cancer, nothing, once, ever.

Where the author is completely correct is Trump’s consistency. His behavior is 100% predictable. He’s for anything that aggrandizes or enriches himself.

He’s against anything that is generally helpful to the American people. Here we’re talking about health, but it could have been education, environmental protection, or safety from guns domestically and nuclear weapons abroad. He’s cancelled several pieces of legislation that protected workers, brought vast economic damage to farmers and manufacturers, made parenting difficult with the horrific example he sets for our children, trampled rights for women, people of color, Muslims and LGBTQs. He’s saddled all Americans, especially the young, with crippling levels of debt, denied relief for disaster victims, and eroded the middle class. He’s brought both wrath and ridicule to the United States from nations around the globe via his wanton criminality, his abandonment of our allies, his cruelty to children, his pathological lying, and his flouting numerous international laws. He’s especially spiteful to anyone who puts his honor and integrity over loyalty to him, and expresses truths that reveal him for the selfish criminal pig he is.
