Renewable Energy in Scotland

Kidding aside, as a result of its heavy commitment to renewable energy, wind in particular, Scotland is generating twice as much power as it’s consuming, transmitting massive amounts to England to the south. This is good news indeed, given the United Kingdom’s pledge to be carbon neutral in 30 years.

Of course, Scotland is rare, if not unique in its long jagged coastlines, and steep hills that create wind channels making it a wind power paradise. Having said that, they are to be praised for capitalizing on this asset for the good of all humankind.
