Time To Close the Circus
As suggested here, great numbers of Republicans are jumping ship in their voting this year. They’ve seen enough.
There is no shame in making an observation and then changing your mind based on what you just saw.
I wouldn’t say that there was a lack of opportunities to see Trump for the lying criminal he is before the coronavirus; he lies at the rate of 12 – 13 times per day. But putting him on camera for long periods of time, talking off-script about a subject he knows nothing about, has allowed his supporters to have a much more intense experience. Examples include his suggesting that ingesting disinfectants or getting intense light and/or heat into the patient’s body might be workable solutions, and that Obama is to blame for having broken testing kits for a virus that didn’t exist until three years after he left office.
The bombardment is simply too much.
The circus came to town. Now it’s time to take down the tents and close up.
