Sustainability and the Earth’s Population

I can’t give this piece on the world’s population enough praise. 200,000 years was required to grow the number to one billion.  In the last 200 years, it increased to 7.8 billion.

What does that mean in terms of consumption of resources?  Pollution control?  Please check it out.
