In a World Wrestling with the Pandemic, Eric Trump Thinks It’s About Preventing His Dad’s Re-election

I began a recent post Eric Trump Appeared on Fox News–Like There Was an Alternative? with this:  Eric Trump suggested on Fox News Saturday that Democrats are “milking” coronavirus lockdowns in order to “deprive” his father President Trump of campaign rallies and hurt him in November’s election.

Of course, his comments stem from claims made by the president himself, in which he called Democrats’ criticism of the administration’s coronavirus response “their new hoax.”

Eric: no one thinks of you as particularly intelligent, but think for a minute how asinine this is.  There are almost five million confirmed cases worldwide, from which over 316,000 have died, approximately one death each 25 seconds.   The pandemic has spread to 213 countries and territories around the world.  I don’t know how much the people and government of Belarus care about November’s election, but I would suggest that it’s not something keeping folks up at night.

This is just a statement of how stupid most of these viewers are. Don’t forget: As long as there’s a market for stupidity, someone will deliver to that market. Right now, it happens to be the Trump family.
