Trump Heading for Moscow?
As Trump’s poll numbers continue to plummet and the odds against a second term continue to grow, the president will soon face the fact that he’ll no longer be in office as of January 20, 2021. What happens when that idea settles in and he contemplates the onslaught of indictments he’ll receive from both federal and state criminal courts?
Is it impossible that he’ll hit the breeze with his family and live out his days under the protective cover afforded him by Trump-friendly oligarchs in the fatherland? Nyet.
Watch what happens when the noose continues to tighten around the president. The latest scandal, i.e., his failure to protect U.S. troops from Russia, could cause congressional Republicans seeking re-election to withdraw their support as the vast majority of Americans come to regard the president as a huge threat to national security, not to mention a traitor to his country.
This in turn may mean we don’t have to wait for January to roll around; he could be gone in fairly short order.
But what do we mean by “gone?” Perhaps riding horseback with Putin? Da.
