Expanding International Cooperation Required to Mitigate Climate Change
Gary Tulie writes: Since we all breath the same air and stand to suffer one way or another from climate change, I hope we can all set aside political rivalries to continue and expand cooperation on the further refinement of these technologies.
Right. On the one hand we must do this. On the other, a) there is not precedent of anything even remotely like this in human history, and b) authoritarian leaders like Putin, Erdogan, Kim, Xi, Duterte, and Maduro, as well as elected but wannabe dictators like Netanyahu, Trump and Bolsonaro control their populations in part with messages of nationalism.
