Trump and Racism

We all act amazed when we learn that Trump has labeled the Black Lives Matter movement a “symbol of hate,” or that there are 70K children locked in cages at the southern border, or that Trump is unyielding in his push to preserve Confederate symbols and the legacy of white domination.  But actually, it would be more shocking if we weren’t encountering these heart-stopping displays of overt racism on a daily basis.

It’s not an accident that Trump surrounds himself with white supremacists like Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller.  Hatred is an integral part of the playbook; it’s what makes all this work.
