What Does It Mean To Make America Great Again?
I’m certainly not the first to ask what precisely is meant by the phrase “make America great again.” If a typical Trump supporter were to answer that question honestly, he’d probably say things like white-dominated, Christian, heterosexual, militarily aggressive, deregulated, unsubsidized, and sink-or-swim. Of course, progressives don’t see it that way, but that’s not the issue here.
What I want to know, today, at least, is precisely what the fellow pictured here is asking: “How is slowing down the post office making America great again?”
Here is a bold assertion: the MAGA crowd doesn’t really think things like this through. You have elderly Americans, many of the military veterans, especially in rural parts of the country, who can’t get their medications. Is that somehow part of our American values?
