Profiting from Others’ Misery
In large measure, these times here in the United States are defined by an astonishing level of selfishness.
Hell, we have a president who clearly couldn’t care less about anyone but himself. That’s not only what we observe for ourselves watching him in action, but it’s also the substance of the reports we’ve gotten from a very long list of former staffers, including a huge number of the top generals and admirals who have interacted with him over the past four years.
So why is it even worth noting that multi-billionaire Charles Koch is working so hard to endanger the health and safety of every American–even more deeply than it already is? Maybe it isn’t. Perhaps we simply need to brace ourselves against the moral depravity we find at the apex of the capitalistic food chain.
On the other hand, maybe we can simply vote to remove wholesale this vile administration, in the hopes that new leadership will restore some level of compassion and decency to this tortured nation.
