Our Fathers Were Antifa
A reader notes: This is my father, Frederick H. Hahn, 3rd. In 1940 at age 38, he enlisted to fight the Nazis. He fought in North Africa and Italy where he was wounded when his jeep flipped over after hitting a mine. He would, without a doubt, be turning over in his grave as American Nazis–who share the same characteristics of virulent racism and disdain for intellect–are getting so close to a complete coup d’état to ensure an iron grip on America.
As I’ve noted here before, my father was deeply conservative, but I have to believe that he would be having the same response. It’s disgusting.
I was on a radio show a few years ago, and the host asked me to define the word “sustainability,” to which I responded, “There are several ways of expressing this, but this is my favorite: Using resources in such a way that we enjoy our lives, without preventing future generations from enjoying theirs.”
I raise the point to underscore how far we are from sustainability. Not only do we not care a whit about future generations, we are busily destroying the lives of our contemporaries, simply because of the color of their skin.
