That Really IS All, Folks

It’s such a relief not to have to listen to people like Kelly Ann Conway, or to hear about things like “alternative facts.”

I was on a call this morning with two old friends, both professors of constitutional law, and I asked about the legal objections that the Trump administration claims that it will file in an effort to overturn the election results. The bottom line is a) there doesn’t appear to be evidence that supports any action being taken, and b) the U.S. Supreme Court most definitely does not want to be in the position of overturning an election that was won by, when all ballots are counted, ~7 million votes.  One of them asked me how John Roberts might view a decision that would permanently discredit his institution, and make the United States look like a banana republic to the rest of the world.

Point well made.
