1440 Is an “Impartial” Daily Newsletter

I just signed up to receive a daily e-newsletter called 1440 whose ad reads:

Overwhelmed By Opinion Disguised As Fact, And Relentless Clickbait?  1440 provides an impartial view of what’s happening in the world so our readers can form their own conclusions. We scour hundreds of sources each day to bring you a single morning briefing thoughtfully curated by experts.

I will be very interested to see if there is any material difference between this and the mainstream media.  That’s because, I believe, all news has a slant, if only in the stories they select to cover.

Every day there are perhaps 100 events = 100 possible news articles that have the potential to favor the esteem in which we hold either conservatives or progressives.  How much “ink” will go into Biden’s exploding job numbers, climate-fueled superstorms, charges brought against the insurrectionists, QAnon exposeés, or Trump’s legal woes?  How much coverage will be given to the chaos at the southern border, or states that have no COVID laws but have good stats on cases and deaths?

We’ll see.
