To a Climate Denier
A climate denier I happen to know writes:Science as referenced by politicians is no longer science, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. Real science continuously questions a hypothesis. When evidence suggests there’s a problem with one, serious scientists don’t compare the person pointing it to Holocaust deniers and methodically go about the task of destroying that person’s reputation.
The climate “science” we’re ordered to follow, by definition, isn’t science. It’s dogma being marketed to forward a political agenda. Of course it’s all too complicated for you or I to have an opinion on. so best if we see a naked emperor parading down the street, best we keep out mouths shut. And for god’s sake, don’t mention how often the climate high priests’ predictions have fizzled out! The Competitive Enterprise Institute isn’t a scientific institute; it’s a libertarian propaganda mill. If you read the actual scientific literature, you will find exactly zero material that makes ludicrous claims like this.
You write: “Real science continuously questions a hypothesis.” Kind of. There are no serious scientists who are working to undo the germ theory of disease, the theory of evolution, special relativity, quantum physics, or hundreds of other cornerstone discoveries that serve to focus us on areas where further progress can be made. As you will learn (if you try), there are few if any serious scientists who are still pushing back on AGW (anthropogenic global warming).
