Caitlyn Jenner–California’s Next Governor?
From Plug In America’s co-founder Paul Scott, whom I interviewed as part of our series, The 2GreenEnergy Video Report.
In Malibu Starbucks just now and ran into Caitlyn Jenner, one of the dopes vying to take Gov. Newsom’s job. I engaged her, asking what she drives and what her position was on energy. She drives an Escalade!!! And worse, her understanding of energy is Trumpian in its ignorance.
She said she would get a Tesla, but was waiting till she got solar installed. I explained that I got solar and an EV 19 years ago and I wasn’t rich.
She said many things I knew to be wrong, and when she tried to lay blame on China for their pollution while not doing anything about her own contributions, I kinda raised my voice and told her she should immediately trade her Cadillac for a Tesla and get all her family to do the same.
She had a film crew taping, but I’m pretty sure they won’t use our conversation in her campaign. Please, if you’re a California voter, do not let her become governor.
This is actually funny to me, because I can’t think of a candidate for political office in the State of California who has any smaller chance of success here than Caitlyn Jenner. Most of us are progressives, and Jenner’s far-right platform is loathsome, to put it kindly. Here’s a piece in Forbes: Pro Border Wall, Police And Trump: Caitlyn Jenner Unveils Details Of GOP-Friendly Platform.
That said, California is not without its rednecks, who align with people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who tweeted on Monday that the former TV star was a “man in a dress” and that Californians “deserve better” than Ms Jenner.
Another problem here is that many people are mentally wired to reject physically unattractive people.
As Simon and Garfunkel put it in Mrs. Robinson, “Every way you look at this you lose.”
